About the Netskope Community

Subscribing gives you the ability to get notifications and/or emails when there's a new topic in a forum, a new knowledge article is released, or someone responds to a particular topic. It also lets you follow the contributors you like the most. How to Subscribe at the Category Level:If you want to subscribe to a specific forum category (like Community Guidelines, or Automation On-Prem Cumulative Updates and Fix Packs), simply navigate to the desired category and hit the 'Subscribe' button.

We're excited to celebrate the enthusiasm of our Netskope community members! Participation and contributions in the community can earn you various badges.There are six categories for these badges: Topic, Likes, Membership Length, Logins, Reply, and Solution.Each time you advance to a higher level within a category, you'll receive a new badge. Badges are awarded for activities like creating relevant topics, engaging in discussions with replies, and providing answers that are recognized as the best solutions.Keep an eye out for unexpected surprise badges as well!To see the badges you've earned, simply visit your profile page. You can get there by clicking on your avatar in the top-right corner of any Community page and selecting "My Profile."For a detailed overview of all available badges and their criteria, please refer to the attachment provided below this article.

Posting/Asking a question within any of the community forums is easy.  First, navigate to the forum of your choice. By clicking on the box under the hero image for product forum section:  You have the option to post your question either from the forum's main landing page or within the Question & Discussion in the product forum. To register an account on Netskope Community, an email address is required (company email is preferred).Follow the below steps:Click Login in the top right corner Click create account link

Question How do I confirm that my email address has been verified with the community? Answer After you register with the Netskope Community, you must verify the email you entered during registration. Until you verify your email address, many community features (posts, replies) will not be available to you. To confirm the verification status of your email address: Sign in to the community. Go to Settings > Personal  > Email > Email Verification Status. Verified:  Your email is verified and you are all set. Not Verified:  Your email is not yet verified; click "send me the confirmation email again".  

How to Use Accepted Solutions   Accepted Solutions is a way for you to choose the reply that best answers the question you've posted. When you mark a reply as an Accepted Solution, it helps other members by making it easier to find the information they may be looking for. It also shows appreciation to the solution author for taking the time to provide valuable information.   When the appropriate reply is marked as an Accepted Solution, both the question and the marked solution get special icons and links that take you from the question to the answer.   To mark a reply as an Accepted Solution, simply click the "Accept as Solution" button at the bottom of the accepted reply.      

Posting Guide   If you are looking to create your first post or you're just wanting to receive best practices on posting within our community, look no further!   Here is a simple step by step guide: To create your first post, sign in to community.netskope.com and navigate to the board where you want to post. Look for the Post button such as, “Start a conversation”  and click it. The text of the post button can differ slightly based on the type of board you are on.  The message editor opens where you can enter your content. Type in your subject and body text. You can add images, videos, GIFs, or attachments if necessary. Don't forget to make it fun!

Subscribing to Community Boards & Labels   With all the great collaboration and conversations taking place in the Netskope Community, more and more series have been developing to deliver great content around Netskope products and training.    To help sift out the noise, and so you don’t receive tons of emails, you can use the Community subscription feature to only get the emails for the things that won’t immediately make their way to the deleted folder.    To sign up for a subscription: Navigate to a Product forum for which you want to subscribe Click on the Subscribe Button on the top of forum's page  

Flag Inappropriate Content   We ask our users to be respectful and relevant when posting, the Netskope Community relies on everyone in the community to report content that they find inappropriate.    Reporting is anonymous, so other users can't tell who made the report, all posts are subject to being reported.  If you have any questions regarding what is or isn’t inappropriate please view our Terms of Service and Member Guidelines.

How to create your Community profile   Step 1: Pick a username that reflects you. When you create your profile, use your name as your ID. This helps you build your personal brand. If your name is already taken, use a variation that correctly identifies you. For example, if cshernaman were already taken, I might choose chrisshernaman or c_shernaman21. Usernames must be at least two characters long. You can use dashes, letters (upper and/or lowercase), numbers, and underscores.   Step 2: Pick an avatar of your choice.
