Subscribing in the Netskope CommunityHow to, Community Subscription

Subscribing gives you the ability to get notifications and/or emails when there's a new topic in a forum, a new knowledge article is released, or someone responds to a particular topic. It also lets you follow the contributors you like the most. How to Subscribe at the Category Level:If you want to subscribe to a specific forum category (like Community Guidelines, or Automation On-Prem Cumulative Updates and Fix Packs), simply navigate to the desired category and hit the 'Subscribe' button.To unsubscribe, go to the category and select Unsubscribe. Subscribe to a topicBy default, you will receive notifications to any topic you have contributed to. However, you might want to follow a topic without posting in it. In this case, click on the Subscribe option which can be found below all topics and articles.  If you no longer want to be subscribed, simply go to the topic or article and click on Subscribe again. View and manage your topic SubscriptionsClick on your avatar in the top-right cor

How to create a "Discussion" & "Question"

Posting/Asking a question within any of the community forums is easy.  First, navigate to the forum of your choice. By clicking on the box under the hero image for product forum section:  You have the option to post your question either from the forum's main landing page or within the Question & Discussion in the product forum. However, we advise you to first search the forum for your query, as the answer you seek may already be available.What kind of topic are you creating? Question: Select ‘Question’ when you need a solution for your question or problem. You will have the choice to mark a “best answer” which marks the topic as solved and highlights its importance in search results.Conversation: Select Conversation when you want to share something and involve the Community in a discussion. As you start typing the title, similar posts will appear. These are matched by the title and tags, so here you can also see topics posted which may be similar to yours and could potentially answ

How to Register in the Netskope Community

To register an account on Netskope Community, an email address is required (company email is preferred).Follow the below steps:Click Login in the top right corner Click create account link Fill out all the required information After filling all the information, pleaser verify your email address so that you can contribute to the community Verify your email address by logging into your email account and clicking the "Activate Account" link in your registration email.After completing the step “Welcome! How do I confirm that my email address has been verified with the community?

Question How do I confirm that my email address has been verified with the community? Answer After you register with the Netskope Community, you must verify the email you entered during registration. Until you verify your email address, many community features (posts, replies) will not be available to you. To confirm the verification status of your email address: Sign in to the community. Go to Settings > Personal  > Email > Email Verification Status. Verified:  Your email is verified and you are all set. Not Verified:  Your email is not yet verified; click "send me the confirmation email again".

How to Use Accepted Solutions

How to Use Accepted Solutions   Accepted Solutions is a way for you to choose the reply that best answers the question you've posted. When you mark a reply as an Accepted Solution, it helps other members by making it easier to find the information they may be looking for. It also shows appreciation to the solution author for taking the time to provide valuable information.   When the appropriate reply is marked as an Accepted Solution, both the question and the marked solution get special icons and links that take you from the question to the answer.   To mark a reply as an Accepted Solution, simply click the "Accept as Solution" button at the bottom of the accepted reply.       If you happen to mark a reply as a solution by mistake, you can easily unmark it by clicking the down arrow at the top right of the post and selecting "Not the Solution" from the dropdown menu.       Thank you in advance for making a positive contribution to the Co

Posting Guide   If you are looking to create your first post or you're just wanting to receive best practices on posting within our community, look no further!   Here is a simple step by step guide: To create your first post, sign in to community.netskope.com and navigate to the board where you want to post. Look for the Post button such as, “Start a conversation”  and click it. The text of the post button can differ slightly based on the type of board you are on.  The message editor opens where you can enter your content. Type in your subject and body text. You can add images, videos, GIFs, or attachments if necessary. Don't forget to make it fun!    via GIPHY   Add any necessary labels, product associations, and message tags. You'll find some areas have predefined labels you can choose from.   We recommend you select “Email me when someone replies” to stay updated on replies to your post.  Click “Post”.  We look forward to reading

Subscribing to Community Boards & Labels

Subscribing to Community Boards & Labels   With all the great collaboration and conversations taking place in the Netskope Community, more and more series have been developing to deliver great content around Netskope products and training.    To help sift out the noise, and so you don’t receive tons of emails, you can use the Community subscription feature to only get the emails for the things that won’t immediately make their way to the deleted folder.    To sign up for a subscription: Navigate to a Product forum for which you want to subscribe Click on the Subscribe Button on the top of forum's page       Identify a label of interest/corresponding to your favorite series in a board from the “Labels” box on the right hand side of the forum's landing page.       By clicking on any of these labels, you will be able to view search results specifically tailored to that category. Flag Inappropriate Content

Flag Inappropriate Content   We ask our users to be respectful and relevant when posting, the Netskope Community relies on everyone in the community to report content that they find inappropriate.    Reporting is anonymous, so other users can't tell who made the report, all posts are subject to being reported.  If you have any questions regarding what is or isn’t inappropriate please view our Terms of Service and Member Guidelines.    How to flag inappropriate content. Move your cursor over the post you want to flag.  Click the menu icon (arrow) that is located at the top right of the post.   Select ‘Report Inappropriate content’. You may need to scroll down to see the option. Give a brief description as to why you believe this post is inappropriate. Click ‘Notify Moderator’.   When something is reported, it’s not automatically taken down. Reported content is reviewed according to the community guidelines.

How to Create Your Profile

How to create your Community profile   Step 1: Pick a username that reflects you. When you create your profile, use your name as your ID. This helps you build your personal brand. If your name is already taken, use a variation that correctly identifies you. For example, if cshernaman were already taken, I might choose chrisshernaman or c_shernaman21. Usernames must be at least two characters long. You can use dashes, letters (upper and/or lowercase), numbers, and underscores.   Step 2: Pick an avatar of your choice. An avatar is the image people have in mind when they interact with you in the Community. If you decide to use a headshot, choose a current head-and-shoulders photo and that’s well-lit.    How to edit your avatar If you’d rather use the avatar our platform provides, that’s OK too.
